Bob Ockenden was appointed to the Penfield Town Board in January, 2020. Councilman Ockenden is Chair of the Public Safety Committee.
Councilman Ockenden is a 4th generation Penfield Resident and has served the Penfield Fire Company for more than 37 years, serving as Fire Chief 1999-2000 and is currently Chief Officer, Penfield Fire District. Councilman Ockenden also served 15 years as a publically elected commissioner for the Penfield Fire District’s Board of Fire Commissioners.
Ockenden has served as the district administrator for the Pittsford Fire District for the past 19 years; prior to that, he served as station manager. Bob also worked for the City of Rochester as a 911 Center emergency dispatcher and for the Pittsford Fire Equipment Corporation as a sales representative and repair technician.
Councilman Ockenden resides on Henderson Drive with his family and enjoys participating in many different aspects of the community both as a volunteer and that of a resident.
