Council Member Linda Kohl hosts monthly Community Chats for Penfield residents at varying locations around town. This is an opportunity to discuss ideas, interests or concerns. Dates and times are included on the town website calendar.
Linda is a long time elected council member for the Town of Penfield. She has served as Deputy Town Supervisor and has served on, and led numerous committees, notably chairing the Town Bicentennial Committee in 2010. She was a member of the original Open Space Committee in 2001 and was selected to chair the Town Open Space Update Committee in 2005.
She currently is the chair for the Community Services Committee and is town liaison to the Penfield Library Board, Local History Room Advisory Board , Friends of the Dayton Corners Schoolhouse, Penfield Symphony Orchestra and the co-liaison to Penfield & Webster School District.
Linda was selected as the Rotary District 7120 Governor for 2020-2021 and is currently in the role of Rotary District Governor Nominee Designate. Linda joined the Penfield Rotary Club in 2005 and as an active Rotarian, has served as President twice in 2008-2009 and again in 2015-2016. She served on the Penfield Rotary Board of Directors for 12 years and is Club Director of Public Relations. Linda is Assistant Governor for Area 10 (East Rochester, Fairport, Irondequoit, Penfield, Pen Web and Webster clubs) for 2017-2018. She is a member of the District Public Image Committee and Chaired the District Website competition in 2015. She is also a Paul Harris Fellow.
Linda is a lifelong resident of Penfield and graduate of Penfield High School. Her education includes a Masters degree in Public Administration from SUNY-Albany and a Bachelors of Arts degree in Political Science from SUNY Fredonia.
Linda resides on Highledge Drive with her husband Ken. Linda and Ken have two grown daughters Kristina and Rebecca.
