The Town of Penfield and Penfield Recreation are pleased to announce the new Passport to Play!
Playgrounds are a great way for children to get active, have fun, and play! The passport is a great tool to highlight all of the playgrounds the Town of Penfield maintains. Penfield has some of the best park land in Monroe County, and our playgrounds enhance the overall enjoyment of these parks.
“This is another way we are encouraging families to ‘Be Active, Be Well, Enjoy Life’,” said Chris Bilow, director of Penfield Recreation. “The amenities our parks provide, as well as opportunities to play and stay active, are a true benefit to residents. The Passport to Play was created to emulate the success of the very popular Penfield Trails Passport program. I’d like to extend our thanks to Wegmans for their continued support in making Penfield a healthy and active community.”
The Passport to Play is a FREE program which highlights the ten playgrounds that are located in Town of Penfield parks. As an incentive to participate, children who visit each playground and log it in their passport will receive a token for their efforts.
Passports are available at the Penfield Recreation office and Penfield Town Hall.
