At the request of residents who are seeking impartial information to help them make an informed decision when voting (February 27) on two bond propositions to finance the Town’s acquisition of the former Shadow Pines Golf Club property, Supervisor LaFountain will hold a Public Information Meeting on Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at 7:00 PM in the Town Hall auditorium, 3100 Atlantic Avenue.
The presentation will include an overview of the history from when Shadow Pines ceased golf operations in December 2015 up to February 2018; voting information including a review of the two propositions, who is eligible to vote, and absentee ballots; financing and costs to taxpayers; and potential short- and long-term future uses of the property. Maps of the property and ballot information will be on display for everyone to review.
