SPRING MESSAGE FROM DPW
Town Public Works crews will begin the process of lawn restoration as permitted by weather. Crews will be wearing brightly colored clothing for visibility and recognition. If you have any questions about work being done in your neighborhood please call the Public Works Dept. at 340-8710.
SEASONAL MULCH FOR RESIDENTS
The Highway Department provides free seasonal mulch to Penfield residents while supplies last. The mulch pile is located in the Town Hall complex near the softball fields on Columbus Crossing (off Jackson Road).
LEAF MANAGEMENT RESOURCES: "MAKING SENSE OF LEAF MANAGEMENT" PROGRAM
The Town of Penfield's Energy & Environmental Advisory Committee and Town Board hosted a pubic information meeting entitled "Making Sense of Leaf Management" on August 26, 2010 to connect residents with information and resources on the topic of leaf removal in advance of the fall season. The program covered subjects including composting, mulching, commercial pick-up options, and more. You can watch video of that meeting online at www.penfieldTV.org (see info meetings).
