Braman Room Renovation Complete
As you may or may not have noticed on your visits to PPL over the past two months or so, our Braman Room has been shuttered up. The Braman Room is where we hold most of our library programs, so it's seen a lot of love and use over the years and it's been in dire need of some new paint, carpet, and renovation of the small kitchen and storage room attached to it.

We're extremely grateful to Assemblymember Jen Lunsford for giving us a generous grant to renovate the Braman Room kitchen, the Town of Penfield for providing additional funds and facilitating the project, and our own PPL Board of Trustees for their support and provision of funds.

Finally, we want to especially thank the Penfield Recreation Department for accommodating many of our programs on short notice when the renovation was unexpectedly delayed and the Braman Room unusable.

We're excited to finally be able to share this lovely space with our patrons now that it's been freshly spruced up! Did you know that the Braman Room was named in honor of Ruth Braman, Library Director from 1952 to 1970, in recognition of her many years of devotion to the Penfield Public Library? Her portrait hangs in the Braman Room to this day.

Thank you, our awesome library patrons, for bearing with us over the past couple of months!
