Committees

Town committees play a critical role in local government by providing guidance and counsel on proposed applications or projects to legal boards. The legal board can then decide whether or not to accept the recommendations presented by these advisory groups.

Whether established by the Penfield Town Board or by New York State Statutes, each group aims to involve citizens in promoting good governance and the efficient delivery of services. The Penfield Town Board actively encourages residents to participate in local government and offers various volunteer opportunities by appointing positions annually.

An individual(s) with business before a committee should contact the Town Clerk's Office for official notifications of meeting dates, times, locations, and agendas.

NOTE: Meeting schedules are subject to change.
